FAVE READ: MEMED MY HAWK

good book
Last night I slept over at my buddy Ethan Jamison place. He had a BBQ and we drank a lot of beer with a lot of groovy kids, and so when I woke up I had to pee a lot. Massively a lot. I was sleeping in the garage, and when I tried to get into the house I discovered that Ethan had locked me out.

Thus I began a long and painful journey to the local coffee shop. About 20 minutes later (I really, really had to pee), I emerged a new man/thing. Across the street was a bookstore.

"Memed My Hawk" is one of my fave reads ever. It's one of the most moving, passionate, truthful novels I've ever read. When I finished reading it a few years back, I ran outside and starting screaming as loudly as I could.

Not really, but that's how I felt at least. And now, my darling friends, I own the first American edition.

Wow. It is most unexceptional to find a name I know from heart when I'm wandering among blogs... Really, wow. I'm from Turkey, and this book and its author are our utmost pride. I don't want to speak in an out-of-character, patriot voice, but I do feel very moved by this. So, you really liked the book? I guess it speaks to many.

Yeah, it's an incredible book. I also loved, "They Burn the Thistles," which is the English name of the second novel. Great, great pieces of literature.
